If you’re like me, in your mid- to late-30’s, you could be saying: I don’t want to get huge muscles. I just want to lose fat and look lean. How do I do that?
Here’s the thing, you won’t get “huge” unless you have serious ambition with your
strength training. If you’re focused on weight loss, it’s just as simple as taking the time to move more than you are now. It’s not complicated and there’s not right “order” to work in.
It doesn’t need to be strength training in the gym or hanging out in a cross-fit box. You can do anything. You can go for a walk. You can go for a swim. You can go run around with your kids. You can play basketball, tennis, or any recreational sport.
Fitness isn’t complicated. You don’t need to confine yourself to a gym if you don’t want to do. You don’t need to get super intense. Losing fat is just about moving more and eating better, and if you want to set some goals to achieve, that’s great. Hey, even think about some basic exercise equipment for the home.
